Mr Tan Huan Chun, Francis
Mr. Francis Tan received his music education from Indiana University and Australian National University where he studied with several notable instrumentalists and pedagogues including Steven Pratt and Douglas Stotter - Professors of Conducting at Indiana University, Daniel Perantoni - Professor of Tuba at Indiana University, Max Mcbride – Lecturer in Conducting and Steve Rosse – Lecturer in Tuba at Australian National University.
During his course of study, he received several notable distinctions in conducting and was subsequently invited to conduct the Canberra Community Orchestra as guest conductor for their regular season. In Singapore, he was invited to work with Singapore Youth Wind Orchestra in their participation at World Association of Symphonic Bands conference.
He is now conductor for Pei Hwa Secondary Concert Band and Riverside Secondary Wind Ensemble. He is also Assistant Conductor of the Anglo Chinese School (Independent) Bands.
Mr Pip Tang
Mr. Pip Tang was awarded the Fellowship Diploma in Piano Performance (FTCL) from the Trinity College of Music, London, in 1997 under the tutelage of renowned local pianist Mr. Ong Lip Tat.
Among scholarship offers, he furthered his studies in Piano Performance at the University of Texas at Austin, USA and graduated with the Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance (Piano) with Honors in 2003. He then spent the next year at the University of Western Ontario, Canada studying Piano Technology.
Pip Tang had been a clarinetist with the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band during his National Service and was a clarinetist with the University of Texas Orchestra during his studies at Austin.
Since returning to Singapore, he has been dedicating himself to teaching School Bands and currently instructs Pei Hwa Secondary School, Riverside Secondary School and Cannosa Convent Primary School. He has also established a private studio of mostly advanced piano students.
